Our Grant Agreements

As a part of our commitment to the highest philanthropic standards, we publish the agreements for all of our major, multiple-year grants to colleges and universities.

The Charles Koch Foundation believes that openness brings opportunities. Before partnering with scholars, we learn about their past research projects and how they would like us to support their future scholarship.

We invite potential partners to do the same with us—learn about the other scholars and students we support—so they can understand how a grant from the Charles Koch Foundation can enhance their work. In addition to making our grant agreement template available, we also publish our major, multiple-year grant agreements with universities.

These grant agreements do not tell the full stories of the hundreds of schools, thousands of professors, and millions of students we are proud to work with, but they do provide insight into the breadth of projects and faculty we support.

Minerva Schools: continuing to serve university students during COVID-19

WMU Center for Principled Leadership and Business Strategy encourages students to “lean into” COVID crisis

Instead of abandoning the coursework for the year and simply resorting to teaching business strategy online, Lepisto and McIver leaned into the crisis. They decided they would not shield their students from it and instead would use it to expose them to the realities of being an entrepreneur, including the uncertainty and hardship, while trying to help local businesses as they struggled to survive.

TEL offers free resources and affordable courses to keep students on track

With COVID-19 keeping students out of residence and lecture halls, TEL quickly pivoted, launching another program, Learn Together!, which provides free learning resources to high school and college instructors, students, and families during COVID-19.
