Embracing dynamism and experimentation

Technology & Innovation

It’s an incredible time to be alive — innovations that seemed impossible a decade ago are now part of everyday life. But with innovation comes disruption and the challenges posed by rapid change.

We believe that people are capable of extraordinary things — and that our culture and policies should create space for dynamism and experimentation. Those are the ingredients that have made the United States the unquestioned global leader in technology and allowed Americans to remain optimistic even in the face of significant challenges. A culture that welcomes innovation will thrive, and we support the necessary research to understand how this works in practice.

The Center for Growth and Opportunity

Utah State University
The Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University is an economic research center focused on the intersection of regulation and technology. The Center elevates public discussions with novel methods and empirical research targeted to timely questions, such as: What would it take from an economic perspective to move the needle on growth? How effective are antitrust remedies at promoting competition? How do content moderation policies affect how we trust what we read online?
The Center for Social Media and Politics at New York University is a leader in lab-based, interdisciplinary, computational research on the connections between social media and politics. Among the hard questions it asks: How has social media shaped our news diet? How has it facilitated the spread of information — and misinformation — around the world?
