Police Foundation Receives Grant to Study Foot Patrol Strategies

With support from a Charles Koch Foundation grant, the Police Foundation will study “law enforcement agencies that have committed to a foot patrol strategy with specified goals, dedicated foot patrol personnel, targeted deployment, and an emphasis on community engagement and, ideally, problem-oriented policing.”

Results of the study will be summarized in a practical guide to effective foot patrols.
