The Charles Koch Foundation and Koch Industries Inc. have joined to support the mikeroweWORKS Foundation’s Work Ethic Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to individuals learning a trade.

This year, the Charles Koch Foundation is pleased to provide $125,000 to help applicants in the trades who demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal responsibility. In addition to financial support, recipients of the Work Ethic Scholarship sign Rowe’s S.W.E.A.T. Pledge, which connects scholarship recipients to foundational values that recognize the dignity of hard work. The Charles Koch Foundation was also proud to support the Unpacking the S.W.E.A.T Pledge video project to further promote the mikeroweWORKS Foundation’s values.

In addition to the Work Ethics Scholarship Program, the Charles Koch Foundation also previously partnered with the mikeroweWORKS Foundation to support SkillsUSA, a nonprofit organization that provides professional development opportunities for students pursuing a skilled trade. There is no such thing as one-size-fits all in education and many students find their passion by working with their hands as well as their heads. Both the mikeroweWORKS Foundation and the Charles Koch Foundation are working to reinvigorate the skilled trades and expand student access to education and training. The Charles Koch Foundation admires and appreciates these students for their dedication to finding fulfillment in their work.
