  • Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a university-based research center dedicated to bridging the gap between academic research and public-policy problems. Led by faculty director Tyler Cowen, Mercatus explores how markets work to improve people’s lives.

  • The Regulatory Studies Center at George Washington University, which focuses on improving regulatory policy through research, education, and outreach. Describing itself as a “training ground for anyone who wants to understand the effects of regulation and ensure that regulatory policies are designed in the public interest,” the center recently celebrated its 10th year at GW.
